That Which He Gives Me Is Love

That Which He Gives Me Is Love - 06/02/10 03:18 AM

Several years ago I took a Tarot/Numerology class which was a series of six classes. I really enjoyed it and it was an interesting journey of self-discovery. At the final class, we were asked to write something based upon what we'd learned – touching on both the positive (that we try to build upon) and the negative (what we want to give up).

This is the poem that came out of that class. I think I’m going to frame this so I can read it more often – I’d forgotten about it until I was reorganizing my e-folders!

The ‘Hierophant’ referred to is the Major Arcana card which came up in every single one of my readings, as my significator card. Its positive aspect is compassion and understanding; its negative aspect is stubbornness, clinging to what has become outmoded or unnecessary.

Title: That Which He Gives Me Is Love

He gives to me the gift of Love.
I cannot touch it
I cannot see it
I cannot taste, or smell it.
I cannot own Love.

Like Trust, it must be earned, not deserved
Like Faith, it must be believed in to be real
Like Compassion, it comes from within, not from outside.

Once given, Love is mine forever
It may change shape or form
It can die from neglect
It will thrive if tended
The memory and the gift are One
It stays with me always
No matter the distance or Time.

That which I give back to you is Hate.
The touch of it spoils all
The sight of it warps my vision
The taste of it is bitter dregs
For too long it has sat in my heart.

Like Sorrow, it ties me to a dark Past
Like Resentment, it blinds me to the joy of the Present
Like Anger, it bars me from entering the Future

I give this to you, Hierophant,
To disperse it to the winds of Time
To transmute it into Compassion
To embrace it with Forgiveness

Together we celebrate the release of my Spirit.

Self discovery.
Whatever a prson seeks to act as a catalyst sets wheels in motion.
Ancient ways of predicting the future interest me..many cultures have recorded ways they made sense of life.

the poem you wrote tells me you moved to self actualisation through your personal journey.

Whether pyschology..chosen way of worship or ancient beliefs I respect the individual way people grow and make sense of their
lives..

Anyone who can make sense of their life, has my respect. Someone
recently said to me, "We never know what we have ahead of us."
That person is currently in a sad state, not of her own making.
If there are cultures making sense of the world around 'em,
then I say good for them!

Today on PBS I watched a program with Dr. Christiane Northrup and am now convinced she is womans best friend in so many ways. She has a new book out and unfortunately I forgot the title but will be looking for it by her name. She empowers women with such wisdom and says life begins at 60 so look forward to it. I have to tell you I was mesmerized by her and wish you all could have seen that show, she does have CD's and DVD's of it available.

I have two of her books: Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom; and The Wisdom of Menopause. Both are excellent.

Above I had spelled her name wrong so I corrected it, sorry! Now on that same TV show on PBS she featured another person who seems to, in her mind too, solved the belly fat question. He is Jorge Cruise and he has a very eaqsy formula for women over 40 and men as well to getr rid of it for good without diet or strenuous exercise. In a search engine call up:
www.JorgeCruise.com

There he will give you FREE of charge The Belly Fat Cure
It is one page of simple foods to eat and you can drop 4 pounds in a week, 7 days. If you want to you can download the entire 4 pages but only need the one for the simple eating plan.

Check it out it is amazing and Dr. Northrop hails it as a miracle cure...

Thanks for sharing chatty. I'd say she's the best endorser so it must be great or she wouldn't recommend it.

Anne, MUFA works!!! - 07/10/10 11:07 PM

It really works Anne and is so simple plus Jorge Cruise the inventor sends me email updates and recipes etc., to die for. The only tnhing I don't like is the chocolate, nope I haven't gone round the bend, it's because it tastes almost like bakers chocolate. Thank God you only need one small bite a day. It is working Anne and I even dropped 10 ppounds so far without even trying. I swear the MUFA products he says to eat kill your hunger, it has mine. Sorry it took so long for me to answer this Anne, I didn't open it till today when making sure all the threads were in July...

I am very surprised by eggs for breakfast everyday.

I have been trying to add a MUFA to each meal, and while I have not lost weight, my belly isn't as floppy as it was just two weeks ago.

Re: Anne, MUFA works!!! - 07/11/10 08:33 PM

I signed up for this, but can`t download it until I get home on my own computer (we`re on the road again for a few days). Looks promising. As Dotsie says, if Dr Northrup endorses it, it must be okay. Her book, Wisdom of Menopause has been a welcome guide through my own passage over the past few years.

Looking forward to fitting into some of my favourite clothes again soon! LOL

Re: Anne, MUFA works!!! - 07/11/10 11:14 PM

As for the two eggs a day I add about the amount two eggs would make by using the Egg Beaters and making neat omelets with onion, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese, and either brocolli or spinach crumbles. My omelets are to die for and still have the MUFA.

Re: Anne, MUFA works!!! - 07/20/10 04:24 AM

MUFA, I have no idea. I guess I will have to go look it up now!

Glad to know the regimen in working, I have heard of Jorge Cruise before, and I know he is credible.

Re: Anne, MUFA works!!! - 07/20/10 01:39 PM

Basically mono-unsaturated fats. Nuts, oils, avocado, etc. The idea is to add a bit to each meal.

Whether they work or not for loosing belly fat, they are good for you when eaten in moderation.

Re: Anne, MUFA works!!! - 07/20/10 09:40 PM

Cool! How much is a bit? I am sure I could add a LOT of nuts to my diet, but I already put 8 pecan halves onto my morning yogurt every day.

And I have been making my own guac for ages, as I love avocados.

Not sure I'm not getting plenty of MUFA in my diet the way it is - but you'd not know it from my belly... frown
