Above is a link for the Homebuyer Tax Credit Act, H.R. 1245, proposed before the House to "stimulate the nation's housing market by offering a $15,000 tax credit to all individuals who purchase a home in the next year."
The current Act only allows for 1st time home buyers (or those who have not owned a home in about 3 years or more) with a credit up to $8,000. The proposed Act would allow a tax credit for all home buyers and possibly stimulate home sales for those trying to sell.
