I am shocked and dismayed at some of the prices I have seen for merchandise at trhe smaller stores I like shopping. I also paid more for the fruits nuts and candies ordered through catalogs than ever before. I suppose its just a sign of the times but dam, it sure eats up my cash. Thank God I don't use credit cards. It is too easy to go crazy when thinking you have lots of time to pay, later!! Yikes, then later comes.

diamond, I'm doing the same. Sales and coupons. Every store has had coupons, and I'm using them every chance I get.
I did the vast majority of my shopping online. I would decide what I wanted for a person, then shop the prices online, then order with whoever had the best price/free shipping. Loved it!

I'm doing a lot more online shopping too. Big savings on taxes and I love the free shipping and discounted prices.
