Twiggy on the cover of Seventeen Magazine

Once a month every Saturday when I finished at my part time job downtown I'd stop in the drugstore to buy Seventeen Magazine then look at it on the long bus ride home. My girlfriends and I loved Twiggy at the time. I even bought a cheaper version, look a like of the plaid, front zip-up mini dress in red and yellow. We also imitated the way she drew in extra eyelashes on her lower eye rims. We loved that extra light pink frosted lip stick. I even e-mailed Max Factor to see if they'd bring back their frosted peach color in the pink plastic swirl-print tube. They said they had no plans to do that, not even on a limited-time offer. Too bad. We shared tubes of that with each other when ours ran out.
