I'm not sure if I have already submitted this, excuse me if I did. This is a great link for writing. If you download the 1-click option and are signed online the website will automatically work.

Here is what it does. If you have a word in a document (could be WORD, WordPerfect, e-mail) and you highlight the word, hold down the alt key and left click, it will bring up the page with the definition and thesaurus listing. If you misspelled the word in your document it will bring up a list of possibilities.

If you do not want to download the one click you can just go to the website and enter the information.

Lita, how is this different from using spell check or the thesaurus in tools? Does it offer other functions? Just curious...

It is a dictionary also so you can look up a definition.

Jersey girl,
That's neat. Thanks so much.
I am looking for something similar for a rhyming dicitonary. I had one once that functioned much the same as the answers.com, but it was for dos and doesn't work with windows. I have one, but have to re-type the word and it breaks my consciousness. Can't use it.
Any ideas?
So good to have you here.

I use the site all the time. I discovered it through my online writers group. The site also gives translations if you need a word for your writing.

It is a great site! I discovered it earlier this year quite by accident while looking up resource material on problem-solving.

I'm glad I was able to contribute something useful. [Big Grin]

P.S. The site works within the BWS post creation also.
