Beaded Christmas Snowflake Star Ornament tutorial! - 12/05/10 04:31 PM

Just finished beading and drawing the tutorial for a Beaded Christmas ornament in the shape of a Snowflake star, I used seed beads, silver beads and pearls. The finished piece in the picture is around 2 inches tall but you can always differ the size of the finished Snowflake Star by changing the bead size, use bigger beads for bigger beaded ornament, I intend to use even smaller size to make a pair of earrings.

That's a really lovely snowflake star, Bead Angel. I can imagine a tree featuring nothing but your snowflake stars and white lights would be quite scintillating...

How long does it take you to make one of these ornaments, and how long would it take a total beginner like me?

Hi Anne,

It took me around one hour to make one for a first timer it might take much longer especially if you have not done any right angle weave beading before, I'll give it around 4 hours but who knows you might be a born beader and do it in an hour.
