The nest is empty again!

Both of my children have now returned to NY. As glad as they were to be here and we to have them, I think we were all ready to return to our lives. This little apartment is just not meant for 2 grown children and their somewhat set-in-their ways parents. We all get along very well and we had a great time together. But having an uncluttered house back and the quiet of the moment is very nice,too. We're already looking foward to doing all this again next year!

I agree, no matter how wonderful the holidays are it is always so good to get back to normal times once again....

I'm getting a headache just thinking about the full week's worth of work taking down and packing up all these decorations.

As much as I enjoyed seeing all the friends and relatives it feels good now to know no one else is going to call saying they want to "stop in."
