Have You Heard of the Fresh Air Fund?

Have You Heard of the Fresh Air Fund? - 07/06/11 06:35 PM

I got a request from this organization for promotional help. They are only looking for host families in the East Coast area, but it seemed worthwhile to promote their cause:

Even though the Summer is in full swing, The Fresh Air Fund is still in need of 850 host families.

Host families are volunteers who open their hearts and homes to children from the city to give them a Fresh Air experience that can change lives.

It's only for up to two weeks, but it's an experience that can change their lives forever.

Here's a microsite which explains everything, and we are at liberty use any of the images, graphics, banners, or copy.

Any ideas how we can help?

What an exciting idea but right now I am lucky to be able to help myself and have to stop taking on more than I can handle.

We had the worst lightening I have ever experienced two night ago. Half the town lost power for several hours.

Beautiful here again today. But they say it's going to change
tomorrow and will be turning cold and rainy. We just had a string of nice, warm days. Loved it.

I know what you mean, Jabber. I woke this morning to a gray rainy day and the 7-day forecast indicates it might be nice again by the weekend. But given how the weather moves, I am afraid we are sending it your way...

Anne,
Just got home from geocaching in Letchworth State Park. It's raining now but most of the day was great. Our upcoming weekend is supposed to be cold, but, hey, can't have sunshine and warm temps everyday. This isn't Key Largo! lol...

As far as this "fresh air fund" I've never heard of it. It sounds heartwarming but I don't think WB would go for it!

It also sounds like a lot of work and responsibility to me.

No one seems able to explain this further to me so it's best forgotten, moving along!
