grandchildren on the way?

I know a couple fo you have grandchildren on the way. Are you doing showers or anything fun like that?

My daughter's shower is next Saturday. The baby is supposed to be a girl!!. There's already two boys in the family so everyone is very excited.

My daughter and I have already filled the baby's closet with frilly pink things and the girls where she works gave her a shower last week and she got more pink things. Next Saturday will probably bring even more frilly pink things.

We've concluded that if the ultra sound is wrong and the baby turns out to be a boy, he'll just have to quickly become a ""cross dresser.""" It's the only way!!!

Update.
The shower was a blast. An old fashioned hen party with games and lots of girls young and old just giggling and talking.
Lots more frilliy pink things. -- Hope the ultra sound is right.

As of now, Becky is supposed to begin induction tonight at midnight. Just cervical stimulation at first. No pitocin unless it's necessary.
We're all praying for a happy birth and healthy baby (we need a girl for all the ruffled pink stuff of course, but healthy and happy are even more important)
Keep us in your prayers. I'm getting soooo excited. My oldest daughter, Robbie will be here as soon as she can get here too. CAn't wait.

I'm babysitting the boys.

smile, this is all so exciting. I'm praying for a healthy little girl. What a treat that you get to be with the boys while the baby is being born. That's a blessing.

I can just picture spoiling the heck out of those kids.

McKenzie Elizabeth Schilling was born this morning at 7:34 at 5 lbs 13 oz and 19 inches long. I am going to Muncie tomorrow after work and will stay with them over the weekend. I am thrilled! She is my 10th, my 11th is due end of July.

At 11:13 a.m. today my new granddaughter, Abigail Triumph, was welcomed into our family. She weighs 8 lbs and 5 oz. She has brown hair and blue eyes and she's beautiful.

Well hugs around the room! Congrats to the grannies and welcome to the world to the sweethearts. Such wonderful news!

As you know my first grandchild is due Oct 13 and my daughter-inlaw took me aside the other day and reminded me WHO is carrying the child. Told me to quit telling everybody the babies name was Abby. Seems SHE wants to name the baby. Hmp! She even said "you know I love you, don't you?" I said "sure!" She then said "good, then you will understand when I say I am going to kill you if you tell one more person this baby's name is Abby....got it?" Pregnant women can be scary...

Yeeeeeeeesssssss Queen and so can overbearing Grandmothers. It is hers (mommy's) special day fist and we grandmas come second.....
