My aunt (and godmother)

Today, my godmother and aunt (father's younger sister)passed on from cancer that was just discovered on Saturday in an endoscopy. She had surgery Saturday and they were putting in a chemo port today when her heart just slowed down and stopped. My poor father is so upset.....as is everyone in the family. She was 71. Please pray for her husband, her son and DIL and her 2 grandchildren, as well as all of the nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind my Dad and another sister. What a shock.....and yet, a blessing. Apparently, she was full of cancer and there wouldn't have been a chance of much of a life anyway. Thanks for your prayers...her name is Anna Pennington (Aunt Ann to those who knew she and Uncle Cal).

So sorry to hear about your god-mother/aunt. What a rotten time of the year to have this happen. You are right though...didn't sound like much quality of life left for her. I find it amazing that she was just diagnosed Saturday. You never know! I sure hope you and your family make the most of the holiday in spite of the sad circumstances.
