Please Pray for Lady Jane

Please Pray for Lady Jane - 06/18/12 02:25 PM

Hi all,
Lady Jane was an active member here for many many years (and, like many of us, probably still checks in to keep up to date with everyone). I am asking that all of us join in with her in prayer...this BWS prayer circle has always been very powerful - I have personally been profoundly touched and empowered by the caring prayers of the women here. So I would just like us to start one of our loving prayer circles for Jane this morning.

Here is what Jane posted on her Facebook page this morning:
"Dear Friends, there's some news from my home. After 10 years of being (supposedly) cancer free, I have recently found out that I have Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer (of the bone marrow/bone). We've had 3 days of shock and sadness but now... it's fight time. I have already begun treatment. I'm weak in the body but strong in the soul. There is a lot of hope to be had for my hubby and me and we're going to battle with full armor. Prayer is the most powerful tool we have so if you're so inclined, please remember us in this way. Thank you !!"

Thanks for alerting us, Eagle Heart. I am sending out prayers for Lady Jane and her family. I love her determination to fight for her return to health and I pray that she succeeds in her quest.

Looks like Eagle, Mountain Ash and me; Edelweiss2, posted all at the same time on Lady Jane. Now if that isn't connecting, I don't know what is.
My prayers for Lady Jane are definitely a part of my day now.

Re: Please Pray for Lady Jane - 06/22/12 06:41 PM

Lady Jane and everyone here, I hope the prayers that have been sent out on your behalf are buoying your spirit and that you are feeling strong today.

The other day, I was talking to my mother about her cancer and the power of prayer, and I realized that what I toldher was worth sharing here:

Specifically, I was telling her that I am glad so many people are praying for her cancer to be cured -- and I reminded her that I thought it was possible that this could happen. She is a spiritual woman, so of course she believed me.

But I went on to tell her that I had first heard wonderful things about the power of prayer in healing people at a spiritual retreat I had attended quite some time ago. One of the women there was the wife of a surgeon, and she shared many stories of healing miracles her husband has actually witnessed.

I thought of this again today, when I found this article from National Public Radio.
It's not a new article, but it bears repeating.

According to the article, scientists are starting to make attempts to understand spiritual experience — and what happens in the brains and bodies of people who believe they connect with the divine.

The field is called "neurotheology," and although it is fairly new, it's drawing prominent researchers in the U.S. and Canada.

Scientists have found that the brains of people who spend untold hours in prayer and meditation are different. Isn't that exciting?

There's more: don't miss this NPR story that asks whether positive thoughts can help heal another person...

Re: Please Pray for Lady Jane - 06/23/12 12:13 AM

Joyce Meyer's, "Battlefield of the Mind" is along these line you're discussing, Anne. You can train your thoughts to be
positive and focus on God! There's power in the blood! Power, Power, wonder-working POWER in the precious blood of the Lamb!

Honestly, I do not know how anyone gets through this world without believing in God: God the Father; God the Son; and God the Holy Spirit. If not for God, I wouldn't be writing this.
Belief in the hereafter, brings hope. Without hope, we're all lost!

Re: Please Pray for Lady Jane - 06/23/12 12:23 AM

I agree that a positive attitude can work wonders; I'm proof of that! Since I have been keeping my Gratitude Journal blog, my attitude has improved even more. I truly believe that if you focus on the positive, and on what you want, that's what you get. But if you focus on what you don't want, or on negatives, that's what you get, too. It's difficult to change one's mindset, but it can be done.

Re: Please Pray for Lady Jane - 06/23/12 03:21 AM

I keep working on the mindset, too, Yonuh and Jabber. It's so important to learn how to phrase things positively.

Re: Please Pray for Lady Jane - 06/23/12 06:32 PM

NPR .. there has been a tv documentary about this scientific study that is going on in several countries around the world .. France is one, Japan is another, I think, and then the US. There may be more countries involved .. I donīt know.England also, right? It IS very exciting and gives hope to us all on all sorts of levels, I think.

Thanks for asking about my Mom, Jabber.

She's still in the hospital, hoping to get out Monday afternoon. My brother has gone to visit her. Which spells my step-father so he isn't the only one visiting her.

I appreciate the prayers for her.

Re: Please Pray for Lady Jane - 08/31/13 06:13 PM

It's been quite some time since I've posted anything on BWS. I wanted to come here and pour out how heavy my heart feels concerning Lady Jane. She is always such a wonderful part of this forum or on FB. I love following her stories and parties on the Swamp and her latest letter to all of her friends and family brought me down to my knees with a reality that I hadn't put into words myself. This brave, brave woman whom I adore is dying. How can one love someone so much that I've never met? I wish I'd reached out to you Jane more often. Replied to FB posts instead of just 'liking' something. I want you to know how much of an impact you've had on my life and how badly I wish I could visit you. Please know that my life is enriched because of you and how blessed I feel knowing that a wonderful man who adores you is right there by your side. His letter brought me to tears. The two of you are amazing together...oh if all marriages could be as happy. I love you Jane.

Re: Please Pray for Lady Jane - 08/31/13 08:58 PM

Hi Dee,

Thanks for the nice long post. I'm so sorry to hear about Lady Jane. She hasn't posted here since 3/15/10 (I checked) when she first welcomed me to the forum. It was a post thanking Dotsie for the news that she has sold the NABBW/BWS business to me... At that time, she was mentioning that she hadn't been posting much of late.

I don't know how to find her on Facebook, so hopefully you will keep the rest of us up to date on what is happening with her.

I appreciate you taking the time to update us, Dee, and I hope to see more of you here real soon!

Anne

Re: Please Pray for Lady Jane - 08/31/13 09:42 PM

I love Jane too, and am heartbroken at her latest post. My heart is so heavy with sadness for all that Jane has had to go through. If I remember correctly, Jane was one of the first group of women to welcome me in here at BWS is 2005. My letter was a desperate cry for help, and several women responded right away, forever changing my life in ways that they will never truly know. Jane was one of those women. Still, even in the face of this cancer, Jane continues to be kind, compassionate, gentle and such an inspiration in her courage and faith. It grieves me that she and her family have had to go through this brutal journey, and it humbles me that she allows so many of us to journey with her. It's been a heart-opening, soul-awakening experience. I continue to pray for a cure for all cancer.

Dee thanks for posting here about how you feel toward Lady Jane.
She is a sweetheart. I could see from Lady Jane's most recent FB pictures that she's having a struggle. God bless Lady Jane and her husband and give the strength only You can give. Hold her in your arms, Dear Jesus, strengthen her, and let Your Holy Spirit give her super power, super grit, and super will. In Jesus precious name!!!!

Jane is a beautiful person. I wait each day for news from her and Frank...Many people love her...she knows we do as does Frank...
Trust that Dotsie is in the loop getting news.

How wonderful that we touch each others lives.

Re: Please Pray for Lady Jane - 09/15/13 07:57 PM

Sometimes it seems impossible that many of us have never met in person...so many of the women I met here in BWS have been, and continue to be more a part of my life and heart than my own family. When you think of it, many of us women here spent HOURS and days and months and YEARS together in this place...sharing everything from recipes to heartbreaking stories, fears, tears, laughter...the whole spectrum of life. So many of you are intricately woven into the very fabric of my being, and I cannot imagine my life without you. Jane is one of those women, we met here in 2005, and have been a constant presence in each other's lives since then, as many of us continue to be. It is breaking my heart to "watch" her suffering...

I still miss Chatty so much, I dread losing anyone else. I'm still praying for a positive healing outcome, I refuse to give up one second more than I have to, but I'm just saying, that it's as painful losing one of my online sisters as it is to lose someone I've actually "met" in person.

It IS wonderful, amazing, and I will forever thank God for the wondrous gift of each woman who I've met here.

Re: Please Pray for Lady Jane - 09/15/13 08:32 PM

I met Ann when she came to Edinburgh and have faith we will meet again.I still grieve for Dennis who we all knew through Ann. Poppie spoke to me on the telephone I miss her.I have kept her emails..her poems. What a great loss.Beautiful Poppy.

Others have been ill and shared and their journey to health..Dear Iva..she is special known as Humlan here.

Jane impressed me when she came aboard BWS..Her work as a specialist Hospice worker and love of her home and "Swamp" showed a special person...

Dotsie gifted so much to so many.

Poppie passed away in the fall of 2010. Humlan is very much alive and well. Lady Jane is very weak, but home from the hospital.

I had no idea of all this, Eagle. There is Angelika, in Germany. Anyone know about her and granddaughter?

Angelika is very much alive and well, has been traveling a lot lately in their new RV. Her granddaughter is growing and as delightful as ever.

Did you know about Chatty? Chatty passed away as well, about two years ago, I think it was. I miss her terribly as well. I still have her little Christmas angel hanging in our living room.

Re: Please Pray for Lady Jane - 12/07/13 12:11 PM

I just wanted to post that yesterday, December 6, at 3:20pm, in the arms of her beloved Frank, and surrounded by family, Jane did pass away.

Here is what Frank wrote on FB:

Good Evening To our Cherished and Very Loved Friends---
This Day has been the hardest and Darkest Day of my entire 63 yrs on this Earth
Tonight The Lights & bright Hopes of Paradise have gone Dark with much Sadness
Today -December 6 2013 at 3:20 PM at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House---
I Lost My Best Friend--My Lover and Companion and co-builder of Paradise--
This Morning at 9:00 AM I was awoken by a call from Gosnell House Doctor--
She informed Me That Our beloved Janey was unresponsive to being woken but still alive & fighting to stay alive & that I should be there as soon as possible--
Thanks to our Dear friend Cindi--JaneysClassmate came to the call & rushed me to Gosnell as I felt that I could not emotionally handle driving our car---
When We arrived We found nurses attending Janey all of which are close friends & co-workers---Janey was still unresponsive but breathing shallow and eyes open looking at ceiling---This was so very hard to see & be part of--and is very hard for me to write about--this is why post is late--- Janeys Dad Glen Libby and Sis Linda -- Arrived and kept vigil with Cindi & I --It was so very hard to see Janeys fragile life and precious moments fleeting by us--Then Janeys Past Husband Steve with Janey's Daughter Tracey and Her Grandchildren Issac & Racheal arrived and shared
precious moments and Love of Good Bye----
Janey was surrounded by very much Love and Dear Family & Beloved Friends
I'm sure Janey felt this Love & heard everyones word of thoughts & Love--
I knew she could as I could feel it and see it in those Beautiful Eyes That I have learned to know so well in our short but strong 10 years Together---
And with the beautiful surroundings and Beloved--Friends and Co-workers& Family I could see that Janey was at Peace and was assured that Janey was in no pain & was comfortable at this time---
In our intimate moments--alone I prayed with Janey and I held Her close and kissed Her--- I then very lovingly told Her that It was okay to let Go and that all her loved ones were surrounding her to witness the one Chosen--Her Companion--Lover & Best Friend and Warrior to launch Her to the Angels with Her broken Wings To be Carried to Heavens and be Taken To Heaven--To Meet God & Her Family & Friends Of Past--- It was very Quiet & Still--there were no visitors or Staff there at the moment----Just My Angel & I Alone & Quiet--- As I held her and carresed Her--I spoke of How She had been the light of my Life and How cherished and Sacred our life & bond together had been & would be for Eternity---'
I spoke softly as I knew that this Journey on this Hard Road that We have Traveled on Together as Soulmates & Partners was reaching its final destination--
And My Duties as Warrior & Best Friend were comming to the edge of Life where I would send Her to The Heavens--- At 3:20 pm Janey took Her Last Breath of this Earth and Exhaled with just a sigh---I tried to catch it in my lips so that it would last Forever within Me--
I gave Her our last Kiss as affectionately as our First-----
At this moment in Sweet Peace--I knew my Duties of Keeper of the Flame and my vows of not so long ago were completed---
"For Richer Or Poorer---In Sickness And In Health--Till Death Do Us Part--
This was & always will be a Love Story that will Last Through The Ages---
Many have been taught through our Love -
The Meaning Of True Unconditional Love That has Endured with Strength and the Entwining of Two Hearts Bonded As One to Beat Into Eternity---
As I arrived back to Our Darkened Paradise & rain fell like tears from Heaven--'
I was very Saddened and felt that Paradise now had only a soft stillness and only half of a Heart Beat---As I Cried and sat here in the overwhelming Quiet--
I had a feeling of warmth come over Me--and was overtaken by a Strong sense of presence---and was Compelled to turn on Every Light and Tiki Bar ---
I lighted all the Deck lights and Lighted Palm Trees---
I felt that Janey was with me and came into my Spirit & Heart and Soul---
In The Quiet I thought I Heard Her Voice say-------
Hey Frankie turn on Paradise Lights So I Can See Them-------
UP HERE IN HEAVEN---------
This Warriors Tasks are not completed yet as I must must Shine my Shield and go & prepare This Angels Final Resting Place Here on Earth----
I will also Sprinkle a little bit of this Land We know As Paradise on Her Resting Place-----
As A New Day Has Started -- I will now Dim Paradises Lights----
Janey & I will forever send Prayers From Paradise To All---
I will keep you posted as plans of Celebration Of Janey's Life Unfolds----

Re: Please Pray for Lady Jane - 12/08/13 12:25 AM

Wow; Those words from that headstone in Ireland are profound.
Awesome to say the least! My heart is heavy: Frank and Janey had such a beautiful love. I don't understand this life and never will. When two people really, really love each other it seems something happens to one of them. If two people argue and fight all the time, it goes on forever. I know we're not suppose to question, but I can't seem to help myself, now and again.

Methinks the world needs our prayers. Too many people are dying for nonsensical reasons. Life is so precious. People are so precious. Animals are so precious. Holy Spirit surround and protect all the living who are being abused and misused and harmed in any way.

what would Lady Jane say if she were still here?

Love it. "Would rather be here than not." True. Can't argue with that.

Can't speak for Lady Jane; but I do know she had a sweet, sweet spirit!
