Results Today

This is the day I get my pathology results from the surgery (Nov 22). It's been a long wait, but now that the day is here I'm scared to go. We were pretty sure that we caught this in the pre-cancerous or earliest stage, but I've been anxious and frightened ever since they sent me that large envelope full of cancer information. Anyway, my appointment is at 11am, and once again, I'll be leaning on your prayers for strength and serenity (they certainly worked the day of my surgery!!) And I'll let you know how it goes later today.

Very good news (enormous sigh of joyous relief). They were able to remove all of the cancer with the surgery. So I'm diagnosed with Stage 1A Endometrial cancer, which means no further treatments at this time, and only 1-3% chance of recurrence, which is wonderful news!! When the oncologist said that he recommends no further treatment (other than follow-ups every 4-6 months for the next 5 years), I wept for joy, those were the words I was praying to hear. Alleluia, and thanks to everyone for your prayers and support during this frightening time!
