Apple pie cake

Today, I am going to try a new recipe that I learned online from one of my other forums, called Grannysbackporch@yahoogroups.com. The recipe calls for a yellow cake mix, 3 eggs, and a can of apple pie filling. Stir together by hand until well mixed, then bake at 350 degrees until done. Drizzle with thin powdered sugar frosting. It sounds yummy to me. I'll let you know.

Well, I made the apple pie cake...except I thought the batter looked kind of dry, so I added 1/3 c. of vegetable oil and 1 cup of water to the recipe. Its very tasty. I think if I made it again, though, I would cut the water back to 1/2 c. It is so moist that its almost gooey..a dollop of Cool Whip on top adds a very nice touch.
