Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 12:35 PM

Ahhhh....now aren't you just the nicest thang, Sug-ga (said in da Queen's best Scarlet O'Hara voice). I simply MUST add you to my Will and you can consider my starving ego fed, too. God luv ya!

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 01:20 PM

Geeze, Hannelore, you'll say anything to please 'da queen, won't you? She's got so many of us in her will, I bet all we'll get is cookie crumbs!

(oops, now I'm OUT Of the will...)

JJ, can I come clean your moat?
Posted by: jawjaw

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 01:36 PM

Moat? Moat? I think not. Besides, Evie is on permanent duty with the moat cleaning until we clean up that sassy mouth of hers. Now, just give me a minute, can ya? I'll go over the list and see what's available. No, don't thank me...I do what I can ... Now, let's see here...

Scrub royal floors (including dungeons) - TVC
Scoop royal poop in horse stables - Hannelore
Feed and water the royal dogs, and walk them - Celtic
Sharpen da Queen's royal knives - Meredith
Bail royal hay with old timey rake - Jane
Clean all 7 royal thrones (as in bathroom) - ?
Dust the royal shelves - New Leaf
Wash royal carriage/car - mitzkity

Guess what honey......

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 01:48 PM

You left me out...thank you!

I read some of her book at night while sitting up in bed with the hub trying to sleep and kept laughing so hard the bed was shaking. Hub was not impressed but did want to know what I was reading.
Posted by: Dancing Dolphin

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 01:48 PM

All that's left is the bathrooms?? Hmmm, okay, I'll have my girl call your girl and we'll get it taken care of.

By the way, I'd be careful about having Meredith sharpen your knives. Don't play any music... she might start her wild dancing and with knives in her hands that could be scary.

(Hannelore, how'd you get stuck with the poop job? You must have said something really bad!)

Happy Monday everyone!
Kathy

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 02:03 PM

Kathy, didn't you know? They poop golden coins.
Posted by: jawjaw

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 02:37 PM

Ms D---you've been behavin' royally here lately and have bowed to da Queen here when necessary. You have been given pardon...for a while.

Hannelore, I'll take over from here hon. Golden coins? Who knew?

Kathy, not to fret. My poop don't stink. I know that's true because I heard one girlfriend of mine say that one time. At least I think that's what she meant. She said, "Oh you know Queenie, her poop don't stink." Isn't that what you take from it? what?

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 03:38 PM

That's one list I'm glad to be left off of!! No poop-scooping for me, thank you very much. I'll just quietly and VERY unobtrusively pray for everyone else on the list, how about that?

I read JJ's book quite awhile ago...every so often, if I know I'm going to be travelling by bus, train or airplane, I'll take it with me and read it again - it not only gives me pleasure, but also "advertises" JJ's book to everyone around me (lots of people on buses look to see what other people are reading) while I'm giggling away in my seat.

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 04:40 PM

I read it about one month ago and posted a review on amazon.com for her, too. That kept me out of the poop line. Hannelore, go and post your review if you can stop laughing long enough.

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 05:24 PM

You babes are officially adopted by da Queen here. I mean it. I love to come here and get a dose of royal sweetness and where else but here? Who luvs you babes? Huh? Huh? I do!

Now don't go sticking your hands out for an allowance...geeish...give um an inch, they'll want your Oreos...sigh, what's a Queen to do ... its hard being me.

Now, let's see, I still need people for the royal village and plundering on Saturday, 2:00 till 5:00. Anybody? Saundra? Dotsie? Orchid? Po? Louisa? New gals? You get your own sword and everything! And gets this ... saddles/reins helmets (with logos, or without) can be purchased at a discount. I try to give everybody a break when I can. No, don't thank me.

Oh chick, you are too funny!
Posted by: TVC15

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 06:46 PM

What's this about getting a sword? You know a girl can never have too many swords. Do we get a matching sheild too?

By the way, I've read JJ's book a couple times now and it's just as funny the second time around!
Posted by: jawjaw

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 07:17 PM

Oh geeish...these women who wear leather...okay, okay, I'll throw in a matching shield. You happy now? And just to show you gals that da Queen's heart is in the right place, I'm giving each of you a tattoo. Now pay no attention to the MacDonald logo thingy on them, they're mind, I swear it! And I wanted them to be easy, so all you do is peel and stick them on. How cool is that? Who's Ronald you ask? Why ah...well he is the ahhh...Oh, he is the Royal Knight of the Yellow and Red Table. Uh huh...sure nuff.

So, who's in for some good old fashion village plundering? Hmmm? Guess who's coming along for funnees?

I'm in only as long as I don't have to wear the stupid Ronald McDonald tattoo!!!!!

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 09:41 PM

Do you know how many Quarter-Pounders with Cheese I had to eat in order to get those lovely, one of a kind tattoo's? Well, do you missy? (burp!)

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 09:47 PM

A list to avoid, that is for sure. And from what I have heard, a will to avoid, too, because I am sure it avoids work; Adopt her grandchildren, royal cleaning, throne redoing, etc.

I want to read the book. I am going to buy it and bring it along on my next vacation. I want to see how many people on the airplane I can annoy with my laugh.

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 10:02 PM

Oh great queen, (or should that be capitalized? Queen!) can I switch from bathroom cleaning to plundering? That sounds like a lot more fun. And maybe I'll find a knight I can rescue and take back to my cave with me. He can see where I've stuck all my fancy tattoos! Uh, yeah, I'm in!!
Posted by: Saundra

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 10:25 PM

Count me in for plundering. Can't remember the last time I did that. Kathy, I want a knight, too!
Posted by: jawjaw

Re: Reading JJ's book - 04/30/07 10:40 PM

Oh geeish....okay, fine, but by golly the plundering comes first, thennnnn the knights, are we clear on this?

Plunder, then
Knights

Got it? The things I do for the wenches around these parts....it ain't easy being Queen.

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/01/07 12:24 AM

I gave a very nice review here to the book when it was newish and da Queen and I were...younger.

Is that why I get to sharpen the Royal Knives? (insert picture of very manic person here)
WEAPONS!

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/01/07 01:28 AM

Girls, girls... let's work together! I just watched an Oprah show about where to find the best single men over 35 and they forgot to mention Queen JJ's kingdom. So shhhhh, let's keep our voices down or there won't be enough knights to go around.
Posted by: Dancing Dolphin

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/01/07 01:28 AM

JJ, are Bubba and Earl over 35?
Posted by: jawjaw

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/01/07 01:46 AM

Oh geeish...I've created monster divas....

Meredith, you're starting to scare me. Put down that sword...geeish,

TVC stop antagonizing the other divas....AND PUT THAT TONGUE BACK IN YOUR MOUTH!

You girls! Now stop that!

Am I gonna have to send Bubba and Earl along to chaperone you all? Hmm? Am I?

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/01/07 02:27 AM

I don't know.... are they cute?
Posted by: Eagle Heart

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/01/07 02:30 AM

Thanks for the contagious joy here...

And I LOVE it when Bubba and Earl show up - it's gonna be a good time whenever they're around - unless it's during a power outage...but why do their names ALWAYS conjour up images of squished boobs...
Posted by: TVC15

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/01/07 11:17 AM

Trust me, I've seen 'em and it ain't pretty!
Love the depiction Eagle! LOL
And I'm not trying to antagonize anyone, Miss Queenie, I'm just stating facts!
I missed the Oprah show but I heard about it and one of the best places was aisle 16 at the Lowes in Raleigh. If I tell you how close that is to my house I'll be over run by Boomers!

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/01/07 11:58 AM

Did ya'll see that gigantic flash of light? No, it wasn't a UFO...it was the light bulb coming on over my head! For some time now...anytime I'm going to be in da royal neighborhood...about 45 miles from me...she conveniently has other plans...I've never visited the palace...now I know why...hence the light bulb...she's keeping all the knights to herself...doesn't want me over there causing a rucous...

Sooooooo...how 'bout it girls...wanna join me in a peasants' coup...in fact...we may just find The King himself there...
Posted by: jawjaw

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/01/07 12:27 PM

Oh puleaseeee Jane. Everrrrrrrybody knows da King is pumping gas in Arizonia. How many times do I have to splain this to ya? The rest of the time he flips burgers at Burger.............(ya ready for this?) KING.

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/01/07 01:31 PM

Oh boy. You're forever keeping us on our toes. What a hoot.

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/01/07 05:51 PM

He used to work at a Pizza place called The KING and I, on Long Island!
I swear he did, or else it was someone who looked just like him! The whole place was done up with HIS posters and pictures and all they ever played was HIS music. Talk about a hoot! (Or maybe the guy was just nutso-crazy...LOL)
Posted by: Dianne

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/01/07 07:54 PM

I was recently in AZ and didn't see The King at any gas station. Wanna explain this to me, Ms. Queenie?

Posted by: jawjaw

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/02/07 01:26 PM

Actually, it was around 11ish...its called "A nooner, but sooner." What?
Posted by: Dancing Dolphin

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/02/07 01:52 PM

LOL!!!!! Oh my gosh, don't make me laugh so hard so early in the morning!

You know, if we ever all get together, I think our sides and faces will hurt from all the laughter.
Posted by: jawjaw

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/02/07 02:23 PM

I was wondering this morning if everyone was getting as big a kick out of this foolishness as me.

We're nuts, aren't we? You just have to love that in people...you know?
Posted by: Eagle Heart

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/02/07 03:20 PM

This has been a refreshing sparkle of light and laughter in the midst of difficult days - I for one THANK YOU for this delightful "foolishness"!

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/02/07 04:49 PM

"a nooner only sooner" LOL

Sears and Roeb-----what? I thought it was funny...

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/03/07 01:31 AM

Aw, jeez. I missed another party. And thumper made a joke. I'll give up the plundering, but being single for so long I refuse to give up the knight. I'm not armed TVC, but you get the matching gear. Maybe we can work this out.

JJ, waddya mean it's not real. We can have a rennaisance commune!

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/03/07 02:26 AM

Just before I read this post, I sent you an email, JJ. I must have felt this post
Posted by: TVC15

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/03/07 01:58 PM

It's a deal Saundra! As long as I get the matching gear! Looking good is half the battle!

JJ,
Did I ever tell you I have a cat named "Bubba"?
She started out as Baby Cat (my son was 2 and kept calling her the baby cat, it stuck and I don't even remember her original name anymore) Anyway somewhere along the way, (we have her 15 years now) she became Baby Girl, which we for some odd reason pronounce Bubba Geal! LOL
Posted by: Jane_Carroll

Re: Reading JJ's book - 05/04/07 01:44 AM

Bubba Geal...sounds a lot like Bubba-n-Earl...
