Do we get tired of chocolate? Do we get tired of chatting? Do we get tired of your blogs?

No,no no. Ever!

I like your blogs..and although Pollyanna is a nice wee girl..good old fashions shoulder to cry on and hug from an authentic friend allows the well to overflow when needed.
My task is to listen and remain true to myself...when a friend
leaks her/his frustrations.Hope someone will always do that for me.
Friends..I have a wide circle..several cheeful souls..choose who and what I share..there is no universal friend for me..each an individual all worthy of mention...one in particular I share spititual woes and growth...another health concerns..some daily encouragment..others have been true mentors..
I often think of them all..passed and present and have little chats inwardly...they make me the person I am and I may have shaped them.
People are wonderful..including those who have been harder to understand..

Thank you ladies, for your encouragement AND for your wisdom. Your insight is fuel for our (speaking of me here) misguided souls.

Today I have an announcement to make and I do so with (gulp) a bit of fear. Now I have to finish it! I'm close...close enough to get really excited! I can't sleep, I'm a writing fool, and may the Gods of Words be with me...and the force, of course.

The Good Old Days

Okay, there were of course some good old days... but frankly I think I'm living in the better days right now.

For the first time I feel free. Free of strict parents, free of school tests, free of making something of myself. I don't have to wonder what will my life be; I know now.
I'm free to decide, stay or go, work or not ( well, maybe not really..wishfull thinking there), and free to spend my free time the way I want to.

chats, read your blog and I've often wondered why foundations, etc send stuff we haven't asked for because I never send money in return. I feel badly, but I support our church and charities that I choose to support. All of my mailing address labels have come free. Love the blog today and no we can't always be on our game, on top, ready for anything. Sometimes we poop out, tire out and our minds need to replenish themselves. You JJ are so far above the rest in brain power, you think funny and thats no m inor task. I wouldn't worry for one slow minded day. LOVE that puppy!

I love words..some I find funny and darkthirty is a new one I shall enjoy..even as a child I would find some words amusing.must touch a tickle in my brain.
I am listening to a local author on cd who is reading a book about his childhood...we must have hatched from the same clutch of eggs because I smile and remember many of his words.Rich prose about the coast villages I go to and some of my ancestors came from.One he mentions is how his grandfather fished in the "faraways" not on a map but a real place beyond the island..I feel I would like to visit the "faraways" maybe aT darkthirty JJ.

Grrrrrrrrrrrr....like there aren't enough dangers on the road?

Funny - my latest was kind of a gripe too. Is it the moon or tides or something??

Seeing some fool talking on a cell phone or texting while driving is my pet peeve, that and leaving an animal in a hot car in summer. I report them forth with and have gotten my share off the highway and fined, something I will continue to do.

Why I Failed Beauty School

Sisters...they can be unforgiving...

Can't get into the blog from work - it's blocked. I'll have to read it tonight when I get home. And thank you, JJ, for the comments you leave on mine. EW, thank you for your comments, too. I am beginning to find that writing is cathartic; of course, I knew that, but had forgotten over the years as the mundane took over. I gave up on nursing in the late 80s after 20 some years. Now I crunch numbers; I like to joke that in accounting everything is fixable, and if I make a mistake nobody dies!

I am now following your blog as well yonuh and left you a comment.

No D.D. thats the way I can remain creative. If I try blogging everyday I lose my edge. That is why I understand how hard what JJ is doing truly is. I haven't got enough funny for that. I do try to mention informative subjects as well due to my lack of humorous style, and serious things can be helpful to those who are not as informed as I am... It's fun this way for me and when something ceases to be fun, with me, it just plain ceases...

I agree, Chatty, that it's hard to stay creative if the blog has to be done every day. I usually think of something I want to write about and then mull it over for a day or two before actually starting to write. But when I have it set in my mind, I just sit down and write. I'm not sure I could come up with topics if I had to write every day - I haven't tried. Sometimes, what I write doesn't come out the way I want it to; back in my perfectionist days, I wouldn't have let it go until it was perfect, but now, if I think it gets my message across, it's fine.

Absolutely yonuh... I am exactly the same way. I so admire JJ for writing everyday for 30 days and her blogs were all so funny and interesting. She is a ***STAR*** in my book...

Yes, the queen is absolutely a queeen! What a great discipline, to write 30 days in a row. It's fantastic.

Animals, they are our friends

While I know there are TONS of shelters that could use our help, I know the peeps involved with this one. That's why I wanted to try and do my part. Thanks!

I would love to vote for them, JJ, but I vote for the shelter where I work, and I can't vote for more than one.

Not to worry. This is a win-win situation where some lucky shelter will be infused with the funds they need to keep the babies alive. How could that be wrong? I know everyone has their faves...so please, know that VOTING for any of them is what counts!

We have been our State's winner and received $1,000 one time. That was great as it came just as all the kittens started coming in - feeding those little tykes takes a lot of money!
