It's written by the wife of a Pastor at Willow Creek. I'm Catholic and am not familiar with Willowcreek. But my friend who invited me to go with her to see the video says WIllowCreek is a very large church in the midwest I believe.

The basis of the book is that rather than striving to be a "good girl" we can please God and feel better about ourselves by being "Good Women" which involves being Christian Godly women who can and will change the world.

Like I said I haven't yet read the boook but I plan to order it and read it.

I checked it out at Amazon. It definitely looks like something I would enjoy. Please let me know what you think when you read it.

Too bad we don't live closer so we could all do book swaps!

I bought it at a local Barnes and Noble and read it on the busride home. It's really inspiring. The message is that God doesn't want us to live our lives to try to please everyone and in doing so run ourselves down to the ground. God wants us to use the gifts we have to make the world a better place and while doing so become the woman God wants us to be.

Pretty powerful in a very unassuming way!
