How many of you have seen that movie? Remember the scene with the glasses?

Well, I went to lunch with a friend Tuesday. I always have my reading glasses hanging on the front of whatever I have on. She gave me someting to read, and I put the glasses on and couldn't see a thing.

When I got home, I commented about it to my husband. I had his glasses on!

It was too funny! He had mine!

The glasses mix up touched a chord with so many people. I wear contacts, but no glasses and always have to read the menu for everyone who can't find or didn't bring their glasses.

In the movie, I saw the mix up as symbolic of the way Jack and Diane began to see the world from the eyes of the other. She began to see the beauty of youth as he had seen it and he began to see the beauty of age as she had seen it.

Anyway, I posted about it before and understood it better then.

Probably just one too many lit crit classes.

Loved the movie.

Well, it would take a lot more than a pair of glasses for me to see things my husband's way! ROFLOL!

But yes! I do think that was symbolic in the movie. I've seen it twice, and saw several things in the first half that eluded me the first time. I took my mom to see it. Normally, she doesn't like Jack, but he won her over in this one.

Too much fun! - Donna
