Had an early hysterectomy.... - 11/16/05 03:46 AM

in my 30's (no kids) and my doctor says that I'll never go thru menopause. I've been taking Premarin for 12 years now, but wondering if this is the "time" normal menopause occurs...AND if I should try weening myself off the pills. I did try but the hot flashes are terrible in addition to the heart palpitations. But I'd still like to do something with all the scare of HRT, KWIM??

Unfortunately, we have no health insurance. Mom died before she reached my age now so I have no family history to go by.

Any ideas out there??

I think premenopause can start in the 30's. Do you take any supplements like calcium, B complex (important for the heart, I believe)?
Sorry to hear you lost your mom so young. What did she die of, if I may ask?

No, I am not a good pill taker, unfortunately. I know I need to, but I had the heimlich maneuver done on me twice so anything going down my throat gives me anxiety. (I'm a mess...I know!)

Cancer. Yesterday was the 30th anniv. of her death. She was 9 days short of her 44th birthday...left four young children and a loving, devoted husband. (Dad still alive) thanks for asking.
