Progesterone Cream?

Progesterone Cream? - 03/24/05 11:17 PM

Have any of you tried this? I bought some yesterday. Suppose to rub the measured amount on my arm every night for four weeks and then go off for one week and start all over again.

If I grow a beard and start talking real low, I'll go off of it.

Supposed to give you energy and a sex drive.

I've been hearing good things about progesterone cream for a couple of years now...it's highly recommended by Christiane MP Northrup in her book Wisdom of Menopause, and also by Robin on Dr Phil. As far as I know, it's only available by prescription here in Canada.

I need both energy and a sex drive. Both at the same time would be a real bonus! Let me know how it works for you and I'll drive to Rochester to get some.

I've used it for 2 and a half years. You need to get a good kind that doesn't let air in, like Arbonne, which comes in a pump jar. In the US it's over the counter -- they don't make a synthetic progesterone and if they do make a synthentic and call it progesterone, they're lying. And only use a measured dose. Otherwise, it may not work. It's been great for me.

I've been using the creme for a while now. I got mine through Puritan Vitamins online. I use it every day except for the days I have my period. Yes I still get that ugh!!! I think it helps. I've been very moody-more than normal before my periods now. I hate it. My evil twin comes out. NOT GOOD>> HA HA>
I may start taking Black Cohosh again. That helps too.

Dianne,

Are you pre-menopausal or menopausal?

I am in the first catagory and I use the cream.

Does your container tell you to put it on a different spot every time? I do my breasts (one in the a.m., the other at p.m.), and the underside of my arms (one a.m., the other p.m.)

I use it from day 12 of my cycle (day one is the first day of my period) until I spot. If you are menapausal - then you've got the right schedule!

Danita, what does it do for your breasts?

I'm post menopausal. I use one dose per day and so far, put it on my arm. Thanks for the advice of using different spots.

Dotsie,

It makes them "perky" just like they were when I was 21. ha ha ha ha (I wish!)

Your breasts are a "thin skinned area"...thus you get better absorbtion of the product.

I think I read it on Dr. John Lee's website about not putting it in the same place two times in a row. (I tell people to do the "macarana"). ha.

You can also put it on your inner thighs, the bottoms of your feet. I just think my inner arms and breasts are the most convienant!

Shucks, when I read that 'perky' stuff, I was going to order a barrel of it to bathe in. I need all the perky I can get.

Dianne,

[Roll Eyes] Okay, I have to ask. I've been waiting to see if anyone else would, but, sigh, I just can't wait any longer.

It's great that it perks up the breasts, but does it improve your sexual libido at the same time? While perky breasts will most certainly appeal to my hubby, perky breasts without corresponding libido enhancement might cause problems I don't have the energy to fight off...ahem... [Embarrassed] if you get what I mean.

Danita,
What is it called by Arbonne? Is there another name? I looked on your website but couldn't find it. Help!

Re: Progesterone Cream? - 03/30/05 10:53 PM

TVC15,

It is called "Phyto prolief" and "Prolief" (natural balancing creams).

I was just coming online to offer anyone interested in trying it my consultant discount.

It would cost 19.50 plus shipping and tax. The container will last 2 months.

A really good website to checkout is johnleemd.com - when he was living he did EXTENSIVE research on natural balance.

--------

Eagle Heart, You are toooooo cute! I guess you didn't read that "perky breasts" were just me being a tease. sorry. I don't know about libido - I just know that I haven't had a craving to kill someone since I started using it. Ha. That would be increased libdo, ya?

TVC, (what DOES that stand for, anyway?) ha.

Look under body care, natural balancing creams.

Thanks Danita.

TVC15 is the title of an old David Bowie song. I love his music.

Should we private message you or go to your website to get the discount?

Ok! I get it!

Private message me. If you order via my website - you will have to pay full price (it goes directly through Arbonne)
