The word Bible means books: It's a library unto itself.
It was written by 44 writers over a period of 1600 years.
Not all Biblical writers were learned men. But their
writings have lived on as has no other literature. The Bible tells us love flows through faith. Hebrews 11:1 says faith is the confident assurance that something we want, is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.

Love this scripture: Jeremiah 29:11, which says, For I know the plans I have for you, plans for good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.

I've always found that particular scripture comforting in times of trouble. It was like God was saying to me, "Hold on honey, I have plans for you and all is well." You know?

Agree! Yes, jj and celtic, I do know what you mean. This ole
life gets pretty rocky sometimes. And there are days I hang
onto scripture with a white-knuckle grip!
