I know we have some very cretive writers so I thought you might want to enter this contest. It's simple.

Storybook Quilts creates these unique quilts with matching stories. Our mission is to encourage and enrich the quiet times that are so important to family and to developing a child’s imagination.

Through August, we are running a contest to find a name for our newest Storybook Quilt character: a sea turtle. The quilt has a sea turtle shape in the center, surrounded with fabrics printed with various sea creatures, whales, sandcastles, beach paraphernalia and pirates. In the story, Sam goes to the beach with her aunt, who sits to read while Sam plays in the sandcastle they have built together. A sassy starfish named Stanley convinces Sam to go off with him on a huge sea turtle to find pirate treasure from days gone by. To Sam’s surprise, the pirates still guard the treasure. They capture Sam and make her walk the plank. [Turtle] and Stanley save her at the last minute and she returns to her aunt with a surprise of her own.

We are delighted to have Dotsie Bregel on the panel of judges that will select the winning entries. First prize is either the turtle Storybook Quilt or another in the collection; second prize is a gift certificate good toward the purchase of a quilt. Other themes available include a teddy bear, cat, dog, snowman, rabbit, sports car, and frog.
