International Women's Day takes place on March 8th. Hey that's around the corner!

To get into the spirit, I invite everyone to write a little poem or a haiku or both about what this day means to you.
Please submit it to my post address till March 7th.

March 8th, each entry will be posted under this thread, without listing the author's name.

Then we can all join in the fun, whether you have posted or not, and vote which poem and which haiku you think is the best.

The more the merrier! Come on gals, participating is half the fun!!! We don't need any genius messages; just write what comes to mind…

Hey isn't just being a women … a poem within itself?

Quote:

"International Women's Day is an occasion marked by women's groups around the world. This date is also commemorated at the United Nations and is designated in many countries as a national holiday. When women on all continents, often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences, come together to celebrate their Day, they can look back to a tradition that represents at least nine decades of struggle for equality, justice, peace and development."
