International Women's Day takes place on March 8th. Hey that's around the corner! To get into the spirit, I invite everyone to write a little poem or a haiku or both about what this day means to you. Please submit it to my post address till March 7th. March 8th, each entry will be posted under this thread, without listing the author's name. Then we can all join in the fun, whether you have posted or not, and vote which poem and which haiku you think is the best. The more the merrier! Come on gals, participating is half the fun!!! We don't need any genius messages; just write what comes to mind… Hey isn't just being a women … a poem within itself?   Quote:

almost makes me whish i could writte poetry, i have been enjoying the hiakie over on the other forum? will they be entries do the ladies want them to be

Who told you that you can't write poetry, celtic?
Some of your posts are poetic... take some of them and put them in a poetry format (that's practically anything, these days) - wah lah!

I did my posting publicly,.. http://www.boomerwomenspeak.com/forums/s...e=0&fpart=5Admittedly, it was more fun to see other people's names with their creations...and a semi-response right here. Not a contest, but we could comment/delight/laugh at each other's women's haiku efforts. A poetry jam dialogue session in commemoration of day. And we would see our name with our creations, but no contest..better, n'est-ce pas?  Haiku breakdance day -- Women talk crazy laugh Good words bounce around.

Hannelore, I have my poem almost ready. Why call of the contest? Girl, I think you should continue on as you were doing. You know how to post the poems and a survey chart so people can vote. Did I miss something?

what ? why? people are just taking time to fine tune their masterpices lol....we can have some fun in the forum with the hiakue (sp lol i even know thst wrong lol) and then even if you only get a few entries then just post and poll them......it's just for fun so we may as well have fun
i fell obliged to write one now lol i was having no success so far it was all twee, or rude, or cr**p lol i said carp i was writting about female fish ok hehehe
