jabber Member Registered: 02/17/05 Posts: 10032 Loc: New York State	I ran into flak for writing this poem: 1/11/11 #210293, "Ask An Expert." Ever since, I've been feeling the need to explain what prompted that poem. Here it is: The fingernails on my left hand have vertical cracks from the extreme short, acutely concave tips up to the cuticles. I consulted the net. A nail salon owner and supposed expert advised coating the nails with Vaseline and wearing disposable gloves at night. I did that for over a year, until Di advised otherwise. All the nails on my left hand got worse using the on-line, so-called "expert's" advise. Now I'm having a terrible time attempting to heal the damage. We have all been led down the wrong path, or just mistaken, or failed to check whether that expert really was one. Hope you get relief soon.

My right hand nails are doing fine; it's just the left hand, and every one has that concave, vertical split all the way up. But I'm sure they'll heal in time. I totally appreciate all your kindness!
