It's Sunday morning and I got a creative mini jolt. Here's what came out.
The Menopause forgetful song OR ~ Discombobulated ~

(To the tune of "went to a garden party".....sorta)

I looked in the refrigerator
forgot what I was looking for
I turned around and walked away...and forgot to close the door

I can't remember my stuff...

Can't remember my grocery list
when I go to the store
I'll come back with the same crap...I bought the day before

Oh Chick, this was hilarious - I haven't laughed like that for so long! Especially can relate to the grocery list and hiding my money in a safe place!

My Mom used to do that, and when she died and we were sorting through her apartment, we found close to a thousand dollars stashed away in every conceivable nook and cranny! We used it that week, eating out at all of our/her favourite restaurants the whole week after she died so that nobody would have to cook or clean - we know without a doubt that she would have loved that we did that.

Anyway, sorry for the detour down memory lane - but your poem is hilarious - and precious! Thanks for sharing.

Ha ha ha..the happy tears are rolling ! I my gosh, what was I laughing about?

Loved that! I make a list for the grocery store and set it by my purse so I won't FORGET it. Then what do I do, yep, I walk off and forget it. Then when I get to the grocery store I dig through my purse like a mad woman looking for that darn list...where is it!!

Well done, Chick! I am in good company then. All of my "to do's" are now diarised.

Do you want more ideas of what to add? How about:

getting in the car, pulling out of the driveway, and then trying to remeber where I was going?

or dialing someone's phone number, then forgetting who you called when someone answers?

Wonderful, Chick! It's so funny, because my next book is called CRS (Can't Remember Stuff) and you've got several of the ideas in your song that are in my book ... so they must be happening to all of us!
