It is with great sadness that I ask for your prayers for this lovely young woman. Kate just graduated from law school, her first job working with the chief justice, and engaged to a wonderful man just these past few months. Today, she was involved in a fatal accident. This will be so difficult for one of her law school professors to look over his podium and teach future classes. He is also her father, the same man that walked her to grade school and then watched his adult daughter walk through his classroom doors. How proud her parents are of her accomplishments. Her parents bought a home over 25 years ago within walking distance of the law school and his law firm. The same university all three of his children attended.

Today she was driving north to visit her fiance attending law school in another state. I'm so very sad b/c while we're carrying on with our lives, this young woman passed away from our lives alone. She was alone. The last person to talk with her was her fiance. He heard her last words, not her father.

This is perhaps the most altruistic family I've known. Please keep Kate's family in your prayers.

I agree, my heart aches to read about this. How hard for the family. My prayers and thoughts are with all concerned.

Oh my, what sad news. Isn't there any happiness anywhere in this world anymore, anyone free of fear?

I'm so sorry to read this. It gives me goosebumps. Fatal car accidents are becoming more common. Too many cars on the roads. My daughter's attending a funeral home this evening for a college friend who was also in a fatal car crash. Awful.

Prayers and wishes for strength for this family in the next few months.

Dotsie, not only are there too many cars, trucks etc. but the people driving some, if not most of these vehicles, are inconsiderate IDIOTS!!!

Driving with a Starbucks in one hand, or a makeup item, and each having a cell phone in the other hand. What the heck are they steering the car with??? Their the reason for all the accidents, plus stupid, reckless, speeding teenagers that think they are too young and smart to die. Wrong!!!!

Ladies, thank you. The service is tomorrow. I visited today with the family and I just have no words . . . except that I wish we could all give a bit of ourselves and bring this young woman home to her family. God bless all you.
