Ladies, for all you diabetics out there...
my husband started the South Beach Diet a little over a week ago and listen to this. Didn't want to do the Atkins because he can't quite see how you can eat all that fat and be healthy.

He was doing 4-5-6 shots of insulin a day. He is now only doing *2*! [Big Grin]

Can you believe that? Carbs turn to sugar, we all know that, but why didn't his doctor tell him through the years to make this diet switch?

I mean it's not like he ate candy bars, cookies, ice cream, or any of that stuff. But he did eat crackers, potatoes, rice, cous-cous, cereal, diet-whole wheat bread, croutons...you know, the every day carbs. Well without those he is closely monitoring his blood sugar and has found he just doesn't need the insulin.

We are tickled and just wanted to share. It takes discipline, but he is very disciplined. He also works out about 5 times a week at the local YMCA.

But, if you are a diabetic and do this, be very careful making the switch. He did have a low reaction about the second or third day of the diet. Test your blood more often.

How do you like that advice coming form Dr. Dotsie?

Hey, I say ya gotta share the good stuff! [Big Grin]
