Anyone in here ever had to surgically remove a telephone receiver from their teens ear? [Eek!]

I was actually one of those teens who couldn't live without the phone. I think my parents probably wished they never got a cordless phone that I could walk to my room with. I didn't need my own line. I don't know how I got over it. I don't use the phone at all now. I almost wonder why we have a land line since no on ever calls us on it.

try having ONE phone for five girls...with raging horomones...with attitudes...

Being the clever girls we were (or so we thought) we decided if one of us was using OUR phone, we would just use Mom/Dad private line. This worked really well until Daddy tried to call home one day...for an hour.

Guess which phone was taken out...and it wasn't even MY fault either...honest! [Roll Eyes]

Hmmmmm.... it could be worse... what if your kid didn't have any friends and so never used the telephone? Wouldn't that be scary?

I have to confess, I speak from experience on this... my son really did not have any friends, which was horrific. I would rather he tied up the phone lines... we had call waiting anyway, and he was pretty good about taking messages for me....
